Bracknell Forest simplifies LA smartcard scheme introduction

Bracknell Forest Borough Council has signed a contract with SmartCitizen Limited for the provision of hosting and maintenance services to SmartConnect site licence holders.

This means that any local authority introducing a smartcard scheme can now benefit from the knowledge and experience of Bracknell Forest to acquire and implement the essential components of a scheme. Read more...

SmartConnect version 5

SmartConnect version 5 is moving forward. The software user group and steering group have met to decide what should be included in the next version of SmartConnect. This include many new features and improvements which continue to keep SmartConnect at the top of the Local Authority shopping list when looking to implement a Smartcard Management System. Concessionary Fares - Changes in April 2008

With the introduction of a National Concessionary scheme throughout England, Travel Concession Authorities (TCAs) are expected to ready themselves for the issuing of new passes.

A special version of SmartConnect has been configured to provide TCAs with a "shrink-wrapped" product that can enable enrolment of citizen's for their new concessionary fares pass and provide the data to your chosen bureau in the required format.

SmartConnect version 4

SmartConnect version 4 is currently going through User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with existing license holders. The new improved product is expected to be available for release towards the end of the Summer 2007.
